The May Monthly Challenge is – Patterns in Nature
Apologies for the late setting of this month’s challenge, but the May monthly challenge is ‘Patterns in Nature’. With the countryside blossoming as we move into summer, there are lots of patterns evident in the natural world. Farmers are getting their fields ready and some crops are already starting to sprout in beautiful straight lines and field patterns, butterflies are fluttering about and basking in the sunshine displaying their wing patterns, and leaves and flowers are now all around us creating patterns and veining. Whatever you choose to submit on this subject, I look forward to seeing what stunning things you come up with. I’m sure you will submit some great images and make us all want to get out and enjoy the countryside around us.
Please submit your ‘Patterns in Nature’ images by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org until the closing date of 31.05.17. These should be prepared in the same format as the PDIs for assessments and trophies to a maximum size of 1400 x 1050 pixels in either dimension. Please also follow the same naming convention as used for the assessments and trophies.
I look forward to receiving your images and will upload them to Flickr as I receive them. You will be able to view them at https://www.flickr.com/photos/romseyviewfinders or alternatively via the link in the ‘Gallery’ tab on the Viewfinders of Romsey website. Don’t forget if you have a Flickr account you will be able to participate further as you can ‘fave’ the ones you like best and post comments, so why not consider setting up your own account if you don’t already have one? Alternatively, if you don’t have a Flickr account you can email me at email@example.com with details of images you would like to ‘fave’ and these can also then be taken into account. All the images from the previous months’ challenges are also still available to view there, too.
