Tuesday 12th January 2016

Next Tuesday 12th January we have photographer Robert Harvey coming to Viewfinders to give his presentation ‘The Art of Audiovisual’. Robert is a professional environmental scientist, photographer, horticulturist, writer and speaker, and is an active member of Devizes Camera Club. Even if you are not particularly interested in the audiovisual side of photography, this will be a worthwhile evening just for Robert’s photography alone, but he will also be demonstrating how to put together great AV sequences using his impressive photographic work as a basis.

As a Chartered Natural Scientist and Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, he travels extensively around the UK and the world photographing landscapes and wildlife, and is particularly inspired by coasts and deserts, where untamed land is sculpted by natural elements. Robert lives in Wiltshire and many of his favourite images have been taken in that county, where so much of our ancient past is revealed in the landscape. Robert brings a strong seasonal theme to his images by making use of different light and colours throughout the year.
