SCPF Exhibition Winner

Viewfinders member gets People’s Vote

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that the People’s Vote at the SCPF Exhibition held in Salisbury in January was picked up by a member of Viewfinders of Romsey Camera Club.

The print that received the most number of votes from visiting members of the public was New Forest by Chris Maidens, a beautiful image which secured 28 votes in total. This is a great achievement for Chris, who will receive a trophy from the SCPF in recognition of this. Members of the public who visited the exhibition were all encouraged to vote for their favourite image from over 200 prints on display from the 35 clubs from the Southern Counties Photographic Federation who chose to submit work. It was also nice to see that in third place was the image Trevose Lighthouse by George Atkins, a former member of and still a regular visitor to Viewfinders.

After the success last year of Viewfinders’ Margaret Cooper in securing the 2nd prize for her impressive image Cheetah Mother and Son in the Best Colour Print section, the club is clearly doing very well in maintaining the high standard everyone has come to expect from Viewfinders.
