Competitions

Throughout the year we have a variety of internal competitions these are -

Trophy Competitions, the subjects vary, but this year have included;

Landscape and Natural History.

The Panel Competitions are held annually, and consist of three prints or slides or digital slides representing a theme of the photographers choosing.

The Les Fredericks Trophies subjects are chosen annually. For 2010/11 they are :-
Prints - SIMPLICITY
Projected Digital Images - DAWN & DUSK.

In addition we have Assessments, which are divided into two classes, Primary and Advanced. Prints and Projected Digitally Images are assessed. These are assessed by visiting judges and awarded marks out of ten, thus allowing progression through the different sections.

We also compete as a club in the Southern Photographic Federation, League Competition in both prints and PDI's, and also in the S.P.F. Annual Print or PDI Championships.

Closing dates for competitions

An email to be sent or Entry forms (together with PDI's but not prints) to be sent or handed in to Jill Koernich by the Friday midnight preceding Monthly Assessments.

and for Trophy Competitions the entry information to be forwarded to Malcolm Richardson by the Friday midnight preceding the competition. Entries to be brought on the night.
