Competitions

Throughout the year we have a variety of internal competitions these are -

Trophy Competitions, the subjects vary, but this year have included;

Landscape and Natural History.

The Panel Competitions are held annually, and consist of three prints or slides or digital slides representing a theme of the photographers choosing.

The Les Fredericks Trophies subjects are chosen annually. For 2009 they are :-
Prints - Black & White
Slides - New Forest.
Projected Digital Images - In the Rain.

In addition we have Assessments, which are divided into two classes, Primary and Advanced. Prints, Slides and Digitally Projected Images are assessed. These are assessed by visiting judges and awarded marks out of ten, thus allowing progression through the different sections.

We also compete as a club in the Southern Photographic Federation, League Competition in both prints and slides, and also in the S.P.F. Annual Print or Slide Championships.

Closing dates for competitions

Entry forms (together with slides but not prints) to be handed in to Jill Koernich at the meeting preceding Monthly Assessments and Trophy Competitions
