Trophies

Competitions and Trophies play an important part in club life providing both novice and advanced members with an opportunity to show their photographs and benefit from helpful tips and advice from the judge on points such as composition and technique.

Print of The Year Trophies
13 September 2011 		This is an open trophy held at the beginning of each new season and is for both Primary and Advanced classes. Entries are submitted from the previous season's assessments and trophies.

PDI of The Year Trophies
27 September 2011 		This is an open trophy held at the beginning of each new season and is for both Primary and Advanced classes. Entries are submitted from the previous season's assessments and trophies.
Landscape Trophy
24 April 2012 		An open competition for all members in both Print and Projected Digital Image (PDI) formats.
Natural History Trophy
28 February 2012 		An open competition for all members in both Print and Projected Digital Image (PDI) formats.
Les Fredericks Trophy
13 March 2012 		An open competition for all members in both Print and Projected Digital Image (PDI) formats on set themes for each format. For 2011/12 the themes are:

Panel Trophy
22 November 2011 - Prints
31 January 2012 - PDI 		An open competition for all members in both print and projected digital image (PDI) formats. Panels are presented as three images on a theme chosen by each member (no set theme).

Photographer of The Year
July 2012 		For advanced members only, in both print and PDI categories, this is awarded from the results of the assessment evenings at the end of the season, with the highest scoring photographers winning the two trophies.
